This will not only help you find a very profitable product to sell, but it will also help you create a selling strategy to outdo your competitors. Find out by browsing eBay and study the behavior of sellers and buyers. Also find out items that are similar to yours. You may want to compare prices too.

- Cut cost on shipping by being creative about it. If you pay higher for shipping cost by putting your item in a box, try if you can send it with a bubble wrap. If there is a big difference in the cost, you definitely have a better option. It is also wise to estimate your shipping cost even before putting your item for sale. Weigh and measure it beforehand so you will know how much you can spend for its shipping.

- If you are buying things at a local discount store to sell on eBay, you may want to do the buying when they are on sale. You can also take advantage of the season. You can buy winter clothes at the end of the winter and sell them on eBay the next winter.
