Physical Comfort When Agreements Are Reached In Communication

Many folks find that they get high-stress when they are in a disagreeing conversation and it can be physically exhausting for them, even painful. Likewise many folks do find physical comfort while communicating with someone who is on the same wave-length, of the same opinion and in general agreement with them.

Of course innovation, creativity and forward progression will need other views which may be contrary to the status quo or the trend of the two-parties, groups or society in general. Working hard to agree often means that no one is thinking or worse only one person is thinking and everyone else merely follows. This is how cults are formed and it is a shame that more people will not turn their minds back on and consider the total picture. Disagreement is not necessarily a bad thing.

When everyone agrees all the time, well that is too bad really. Personally, I have already heard all the points of views on most all subjects now, so I get tired of listening to people with the same view as the TV set or some skew of the basic party lines. I have heard all that stuff a million times. Have you ever gone to a party and someone says;

“Hows the Weather?”

I call this “The Hows the Weather Syndrome” and if you pay attention you will see this occurring all day long everyday, unless you dismiss it. Now, mind you, I have no problem talking about the weather, but lets get into long-term forecasts, solar flares, space weather, climate cycles, stopping hurricanes, cloud bursts, winds aloft and jet streams, sailing, etc. See my point. Average human says “How’s the weather” and then wants to talk about some inane bunch of garbage.

Indeed, anyone can wow a crowd with meaningless dribble and put on a show about some stupid story and say all the right things to make everyone warm and fuzzy, but in reality, so what?

And to this point does anyone really get anything out of discussing the same old stuff, with the same old point of view; over and over again until they convince themselves that they are right to the point they become boxed into their own linear views of life on the surface of this pale blue dot? I certainly hope this article has propelled thought in 2007.
